The taxi costs about SYP261k / USD22.90 from Al Marjeh Square to Damascus Airport for a 29km ride via e-hailing app like YallaGo and ZakinnCab which i think is overpriced. In Damascus, there are many taxis still using run-down old cars which i am impressed they manage to get it up and running. I used this taxi and the driver quoted me SYP150k / USD13.15 . Try to get a taxi driven by an old man to prevent last minute price change. make sure you have a translator because most of them only speak arabic.
